In order to start treatment, you will need to contact Carrie directly via email at carriecarren@gmail.com or give her a call at (847) 471-3438. She will then ask you some questions about why you are seeking out therapeutic services. Next, she will direct you to fill out and return paperwork before you meet for your initial session, if you haven't already done so. Paperwork includes demographic information, treatment consent forms, and confidentiality agreements. You will then schedule an appointment where you both will discuss treatment options and then plan which options work best for you. Also, we will address any additional questions you or Carrie may have.
She currently accepts Blue Cross and Blue Shield PPO. Please check back for additional insurances periodically as this site will be updated regularly.
Carrie only accepts the following forms of payment: Venmo (on private mode) or Zelle apps. She will provide you with the details at your first appointment.
Therapy length can vary from person to person. A treatment plan and course of action will be evaluated at the time of the initial session. Typically Carrie requires weekly appointments in the beginning of therapy to build rapport, however, progress will be evaluated during the course of treatment. From there, the length of treatment may be modified.
Cancellation within 24 hours of the session will result in a charge of Carrie's full fee. If you know ahead of time your plans have changed, you can reschedule your session without penalty.
No. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all sessions will be held via telehealth for the foreseeable future.
